Dear Campus Community,
Thank you for all your work on behalf of our students this semester. Your
focus on their needs and making a difference in their lives has been
extraordinary.
This Saturday, Dec. 12, we will honor the December Class of 2020 virtually.
A video program will air at 10 a.m., when our traditional winter ceremony
has taken place, at *plattsburgh.edu/commencement*
<http://plattsburgh.edu/commencement>.
You share in this milestone and I hope you are able to watch along with our
graduates, their families and their friends.
While we cannot gather in the Field House gymnasium as usual, we can join
together as a campus at the same time. In the midst of all of what
surrounds us, this moment is an important centering of why we do what we
do. It is about students, their lives and their futures.
The event features student speakers, college leaders, a congratulatory
video to graduates and the reading of each name. It also includes music
from the Plattsburgh State Gospel Choir and bagpipes.
The December 2020 class includes about 300 graduates from our three
schools. You know many of their stories. You understand their
accomplishments. You believe in them and what they will achieve. They will
join our successful Cardinal alums and make their mark on the world.
Each of you has contributed to making our students' dreams come true. It is
an investment of time, energy and effort they will carry with them
throughout their lives. Thank you again for your dedication
Dr. Alexander Enyedi
President
