[Important Information for Employees] Important updates to campus systems

Our LITS tech teams will be updating several critical campus systems soon.
While the updates will occur within our normal maintenance windows, they do
involve services that are frequently used, and so we want to ensure that
everyone is aware. The updates are as follows:

*December 11th* -- Permanent change to campus email list names.
*Impact:* Users will need to use the new list names; the old lists will no
longer work. The new format is: <listname>@plattsburgh.edu

*December 11th at 5 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.* -- CAS Central Authentication will be
offline for critical security updates.
*Impact:* No campus authentication will be possible while the upgrade is
happening.

*December 17th at 9 a.m. - 10 a.m*. -- Moodle will be down for security
patches and software updates.  *Impact:* Moodle will not be usable during
this time.

*December 17th starting at 8 a.m. and continuing throughout the day* -- All
campus computers will be upgraded to Office 2019.
*Impact:* MS Office will be unusable for a short period of time on campus
desktops.

*December 18th from 5 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.* -- Campus email routing changes
will be made.
*Impact:* There may be delays in email delivery for a short period of time.

*December 18th from 5 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.* -- Machform will be down for
security patches.
*Impact:* Forms processing will not work during this time; this will also
impact the Campus COVID Screening forms.
