Colleagues:
In recent weeks, I've had multiple conversations with teaching faculty
members about their sense of struggling students in their classes--students
who seem to be struggling more than those they have taught in the past.
And faculty who aren't sure how best to help the struggling ones persevere.
This weekend, I happened to read this CNN feature on how "young people feel
about the pandemic." I found many of these messages compelling . . . it
definitely brought me closer to the impact of COVID on students, both in
and outside of the classroom. Gen Z is the only generation to have been
growing up to adulthood through this extraordinary time.
I thought some of you might be interested in these notes as well.

Wishing you a good week,
Anne
