The Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) at SUNY Plattsburgh is
pleased to announce the OIE Fellowship
<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfEDH5mSMOkRIb2aqqrDsY_ZJdVVQauu3bPynbqhn59TtORAw/viewform>
for Spring 2025. This fellowship offers an opportunity for faculty to
engage in a data-driven research project that supports SUNY Plattsburgh’s
strategic priorities. It provides a stipend equivalent to one 3-credit
course or a one-course reduction in teaching load during the Spring 2015
semester (equivalent to 3 credit hours).

*Purpose of the Fellowship:*
The OIE Fellow will address a specific research problem using institutional
data, with the goal of generating insights and recommendations that enhance
the university’s operations, programs, or student outcomes. This fellowship
aligns with our commitment to evidence-based decision-making and continuous
improvement and should support the Plattsburgh Next strategic plan.

*Eligibility:*
Full-time faculty from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Applicants
should have an interest in using data to solve institutional challenges and
demonstrate how their project aligns with the Plattsburgh Next strategic
plan.

*Application Requirements:*
Interested individuals should submit a response of approximately 250-500
words describing:

   - The project they wish to undertake including any identified research
   questions
   - Anticipated impact on SUNY Plattsburgh
   - Alignment with institutional priorities
   - Prior experience that could assist with making this a successful
   project

Applications will be reviewed based on the clarity of the proposal,
alignment with institutional goals, and potential for meaningful impact.
Applicants will need Department Chair and Dean support if wishing to
receive a course release rather than a stipend.

*Fellowship Requirements:*
Selected Fellow(s) should plan to coordinate regularly with the Office of
Institutional Effectiveness and other campus constituents as needed during
the course of their Fellowship. They will be asked to give a campus
presentation at the end of the Spring 2025 or start of the Fall 2025
semester.

*Deadline:*
Applications must be submitted by Friday, December 20th using this form.
Funding is available for 1-2 fellows.
