Good Morning Colleges,
The Cardinal Core Assessment Report for 2021--2022 is now available in the
Academic Affairs shared drive in the General Education
<https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1TFW4weXn6uZE6s370fXOein1mWn5TZHq>
folder.
*Abstract: * *The Cardinal Core Curriculum was assessed for student success
in eight Student Learning Outcomes:*

   - *Foundation: Written Communication, Information Literacy;*
   - *Knowledge: Arts, Foreign Language, Humanities, Social Science;*
   - *Skill: Critical Thinking;*
   - *Perspective: Individual Development and Responsibility.*

*In addition, the Cardinal Foundation Seminar (CFS 1889) and the linkage of
ENG 101 and LIB 190 were examined for their operational success.Faculty
expressed satisfaction with most students’ learning, and in all assessed
SLOs a significant majority of sampled students met or exceeded
expectations. Nevertheless, after expressing concerns regarding student
engagement with and preparation for college-level academic work (in spite
of success shown in sample population), many participating faculty proposed
strategies to address these concerns. Faculty and groups at every level of
the college are encouraged to gather and discuss the report’s findings and
proposed actions.*

Thank you!
Best wishes,
Wendy
