Dear SUNY Plattsburgh Students,

As you prepare for Summer and Fall 2026 registration, please be aware of
these important dates and other information about this process.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION


Registration Holds

Registration Holds will prevent you from registering for courses.
Registration holds must be cleared before you can register for Summer and
Fall 2026 courses. If applicable, you can view your registration holds as
follows:

   -

   Log into MyPlattsburgh <https://my.plattsburgh.edu/>
   -

   Click on the Student tab
   -

   Click on the My Holds link under the Registrar dropdown
   -

   If you have one or more holds, please refer to How to Clear Registration
   Holds
   <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/offices-divisions/registrar/index.html>
   and contact the appropriate office for additional assistance.

   PINs are required for currently enrolled undergraduate students,
   readmitted undergraduate students and incoming transfer students. During
   the advisement and priority registration periods, you will need to request
   your PIN from your advisor.
   -

   Students who have not obtained a PIN from their advisor by April 20
   should contact the Academic Advising Office (advise at plattsburgh.edu ,
   518.564.2080)

Summer 2026 Course Registration

Registration for Summer Session A: Apr. 6, 2026 (10 a.m.) - May 27, 2026
(11:30 p.m.): Matriculated students

Registration for Summer Session B: Apr. 6, 2026 (10 a.m.) - June 14,
2026 (11:30
p.m.): Matriculated students

Registration for Summer Session C: Apr. 6, 2026 (10 a.m.) - July 19, 2026
(11:30 p.m.): Matriculated students


Registration for Summer Session A: Apr. 13, 2026 (10 a.m.) - May 27, 2026
(11:30 p.m.): Non-matriculated students

Registration for Summer Session B: Apr. 13, 2026 (10 a.m.) - June 14, 2026
(11:30 p.m.): Non-matriculated students

Registration for Summer Session C: Apr. 13, 2026 (10 a.m.) - July 19, 2026
(11:30 p.m.): Non-matriculated students


May 20, 2026 (8 a.m.) – All summer waitlists cleared.


Fall 2026 Course registration

Apr. 3, 2026 (8 a.m.) - Aug. 30, 2026 (11:30 p.m.): Graduate students.

Apr. 6, 2026 (8 a.m.) - Aug. 30, 2026 (11:30 p.m.): Students in online
programs, students studying abroad Spring 2026, all SUNY Plattsburgh at
Queensbury students, Fall 2026 readmits, and athletes in season in Fall 2026
.

Apr. 13, 2026 (8 a.m.) - Apr. 26, 2026 (11:30 p.m.): Priority registration
for matriculated main campus students.

Apr. 20, 2026 - Students who have not obtained a PIN from their advisor
should contact the Academic Advising Office.

Apr. 27, 2026 (10 a.m.) - Aug. 30, 2026 (11:30 p.m.): Course adjustment,
PINs not required.

Apr. 27, 2026: Late Registration fee of $40 applied.

Aug. 3, 2026 (10 a.m.) - Aug. 30, 2026 (11:30 p.m.): Non-Matriculated
students.

Fall 2026 Course registration - New Students

Apr. 3, 2026 (8 a.m.) - Aug. 30, 2026 (11:30 p.m.): New Fall 2026 graduate
students.

Apr. 13, 2026 (1 p.m.) - Aug. 30, 2026 (11:30 p.m.): New transfer students.


Additional Fall 2026 Dates and Deadlines

Aug. 19, 2026 (8 a.m.): Waitlists cleared.

Aug. 24, 2026 : Classes begin.

Aug. 28, 2026 (4 p.m.): Credit Hour Overload Approval Deadline.

Aug. 28, 2026 (4 p.m.): Deadline for Independent Study, Research practicum,
Internship Registrations.

Aug. 30, 2026: Add/Drop Ends 11:30 p.m.

Aug. 31, 2026: Course Withdrawal begins (full-semester courses).

Sep. 7, 2026: Course Withdrawal fee applied ($20/course).

Oct. 30, 2026: Last Day for Unrestricted Course Withdrawal (full-semester
courses).

Dec. 5, 2026 - Dec. 11, 2026: Final Exams.

Dec. 11, 2026: Semester ends.
Dec. 12, 2026. Commencement.
