Interested in helping others with their writing? Talk with your advisor
about registering for ENG390: Writing Tutor Theories and Practice for Fall
2026 (meets MWF at 1PM this coming fall)!

This course prepares you to work as a writing tutor, giving you the
knowledge to work with *lots of different types of writing*, strategies for
*responding* to others, and the opportunity to develop your own internship
protocol. Even if you work as a tutor in another program, it could be a
great chance for *professional development*!  It’s a great opportunity to*
strengthen your own writing* and *communication skills *while making a
meaningful impact on campus. If you enjoy writing and helping others learn,
ENG390 might be the perfect next step!

Requirements:
A grade of a B or higher in ENG101
Learning Center tutors must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75
Curiosity
Empathy
A good sense of fun and humor!
