*The Plattsburgh Public Library hosts a monthly speaker series*, *Lifelong
Learning for All*, to help bring experts into the local community.
*Presentations
are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:30 – 6:30 PM in the
Auditorium* (second floor) *of the Plattsburgh Public Library* (19 Oak St).
*The next presentation is on Wednesday, March 4, at 5:30 PM, when* *Matt
Harrison*, Project Coordinator at the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, *will
present “Early Tourism on the Champlain Canal .”* This talk introduces *The
Champlain Canal: 200 Years of Change* and explores early tourism on the
canal and Lake Champlain, focusing on 1890s travel accounts by Florence
Snedeker and Augusta Brown.

*April’s presentation will be on Wednesday, April 1, at 5:30 PM,* when SUNY
Plattsburgh’s very own Regan Levitte will present “Reuse, Reclaim, Recycle:
The History of Fan Fiction and Its Potential Futures,” which will explore
how fannish culture has influenced literature throughout history, and where
it’s going next.
