*Mitchell O’Neill, *New York Natural Heritage Program, Invasive Species
Biologist
Mitchell works with the Invasive Species Database team at the New York
Natural Heritage Program to provide tools and support for collecting and
analyzing invasive species information to inform natural resource
management and protect native biodiversity, particularly through
iMapInvasives. Mitchell received his M.S. in Natural Resources from the
University of New Hampshire studying the biogeography of terrestrial
invasive plants, and a B.A. in Biology and Studio Art from the University
of Vermont. His interests include invasive species biology, Geographic
Information Systems, quantitative ecology, science communication, and
native plants of the northeast. Come learn all about Mitchell’s exciting
career!!
