The CEES Seminar Series presents:
*Dr. Ezra Schwartzberg*, CEO, Adirondack Research
*Making maps for research: How beautiful maps engage people, support
management, and influence policy *
Ezra Schwartzberg is the owner of Adirondack Research and Green Goat Maps.
Adirondack Research is an environmental research and consulting firm that
helps lake associations, land trusts, and government agencies understand
ecological systems and make better management decisions through field
science, GIS, and clear communication. Green Goat Maps grew out of that
work as a cartography studio focused on making beautiful, accessible maps
that help people engage with trails, preserves, and public lands. In this
talk, Ezra will share examples from both organizations to show how
well-designed maps can translate research into action—supporting
management, improving public understanding, and shaping policy by making
complex information clear, usable, and engaging for a wide range of
audiences.
*Friday Feb 6** 3:30**pm. *
