September is National Preparedness Month

Campus Community,

September is National Preparedness Month, and this year's message from FEMA
is simple: Americans Stand Ready.

Being prepared doesn't have to be complicated. A few simple steps now can
make a big difference if something unexpected happens.

This month, the Office of Emergency Management will be sharing some quick
tips to help you:

   -

   Stay informed and know where to get emergency information.
   -

   Make a plan for yourself, your family, and the people you depend on.
   -

   Build a basic emergency kit with things you may need if the power goes
   out or you have to leave your home.
   -

   Look out for others and know how you can help your friends, roommates,
   family, and community.

We'll be sharing these tips throughout September, along with information
about preparedness activities happening on campus.

You don't have to do everything at once. Pick one thing to work on this
week and start there.
