Campus Community Active Shooter Training – Two Sessions Available

Dear Campus Community,

University Police will be offering two in-person training sessions on how
to respond effectively in an active shooter situation. You are encouraged
to attend the session that best fits your schedule:

   - Thursday, October 2 | 7:30–8:30 pm | Cardinal Lounge
   - Thursday, October 9 | Noon–1:00 pm | Cardinal Lounge (Feel free to
   bring your lunch!)

(Note: Employees participating in either of these in-person training
sessions may substitute them for the mandatory online SafeColleges active
shooter training.)

This important training provides essential knowledge and practical skills
to help you respond in an active shooter situation. Topics include:

   - Recognizing warning signs of potential threats
   - Developing situational awareness to stay alert in various environments
   - Responding effectively using the "Run, Hide, Fight" approach in
   emergencies
