The CEES Seminar Series presents:

*Dr. Mark Borrelli*, Director of Seafloor Mapping Program, The Center for
Coastal Studies


*Coastal Geology: What field-based research and mapping tells us about
science, the world, and our place in it.*


This talk will cover several recent and ongoing projects related to coastal
physical processes on and around Cape Cod, Massachusetts, the
state-of-the-art sensors and platforms we use to perform shoreline and
seafloor mapping and some unresolved mysteries from the deep. All of this
will be discussed within the context of the critical thinking, scientific
literacy and communication skills needed by the next generation of
scientists.
