Fall Residency Deadline For Tuition Purposes

Students seeking a change in residency status for tuition purposes may
complete an application to receive the in-state rate. Students who believe
they are eligible for in-state tuition but who are currently being charged
the out-of-state rate for Fall 2025 must complete the following tasks:


   -

   Complete the New York State Residency Application

   Provide at least three documents in support of their application


   -

   Send their application and documents to Student Financial Services


*The deadline to do so for the fall semester is Friday, September 19th.  *

Students who are enrolled in exclusively online programs who reside
outside of New York State are also responsible for contacting SFS by the
above deadline to request the discounted rate of tuition if they believe
they qualify but are currently being billed the out-of-state rate of
tuition.

Students can submit the residency application by:


   -

   Emailing the application and supporting documents to sfs at plattsburgh.edu


   -

   Bringing the materials to Student Financial Services (located on the 4th
   Floor of the Kehoe Administration Building) Monday through Friday, 8AM -
   4PM, opening at 9AM on Thursdays.
   -

   Mailing them to Student Financial Services
