Peer Counseling Program is filling up fast, secure a spot!

Are you interested in giving back to your campus community, earning
academic credit, and building valuable professional skills? The Peer
Counseling Program offers a unique opportunity to do just that.

Peer Counselors make a two-semester commitment:

   -

   Semester 1: Enroll in CLG 380: Peer Counseling, a 3-credit training
   course that provides foundational knowledge and hands-on skills in helping
   and communication.
   -

   Semester 2: Complete a 3-credit internship, where you’ll apply what
   you’ve learned by supporting fellow students and making a positive impact
   on the SUNY Plattsburgh community.


Eligibility Requirements

   -

   Minimum 2.5 GPA
   -

   Sophomore standing or higher
   -

   Completed application here

   Two professional letters of recommendation


If you have any questions, please contact the Peer Counseling Program at
peercounseling at plattsburgh.edu. CLG 380 will be offered in the Spring of
2026 on T, R from 4-5:15 PM. If you are interested, please apply timely, as
