Dr. Lorina Culic, a *Fulbright Scholar* at SUNY Cortland and Lecturer from
the Department of Communication, Public Relations & Advertising at
BabeΘ-Bolyai University, Romania, will visit SUNY Plattsburgh next week,
offering* discussions on service learning and the Fulbright. *
Her events are free and open to anyone who wishes to attend.
Wednesday, Nov. 19
*Global Pathways: Exploring Fulbright Opportunities and the Value of
Studying Abroad.*

*Drs. Culic, Richard Gottschall and Connie Shemo* will discuss their
Fulbright experiences and how they applied for funding. This event is *open
to anyone interested in learning about or applying for a Fulbright.*

*From Classroom to Community: The Transformative Power of
Service-Learning. *Case Study: Cluj Multicultural Days

*Perspectives on Service Learning and Community Engagement*
- 11 a.m.-noon
- Meeting Room 2, Angell College Center
Dr. Culic will meet with *colleagues and students engaged in service
learning to share perspectives* on these efforts, furthering her research
and building possible collaborations.
About Dr. Culic
Lorina Culic, PhD, is a Fulbright Scholar at SUNY Cortland and Lecturer at
BabeΘ-Bolyai University, Romania, in the Department of Communication,
Public Relations & Advertising. She teaches courses in research methods,
academic writing, interpersonal communication, and service-learning, while
mentoring students in civic engagement and community-based projects. Her
research explores service-learning, civic responsibility, and
intergenerational communication. She has also participated in extensive
international academic mobility through Erasmus+ programs, fostering
collaborations that strengthen universityβcommunity partnerships and
promote cross-cultural learning.
