The CEES Seminar Series presents:

*Kevin Dernier *MS student Natural Resources and Ecology, SUNY Plattsburgh

*Internship Defense:* *The importance of long-term avian monitoring in
sensitive communities, a reflection on my internship with the Vermont
Center for Ecostudies*

Kevin will provide a reflection on the personal and professional
development he experienced during his Graduate Internship with the Vermont
Center for Ecostudies where he assisted their High-elevation Avian
Demographic Monitoring Program. He will also present some exploratory
analysis of the long term (2010-2024) trends in the high elevation bird
community based on this VCE's monitoring efforts and discuss the importance
of this research.
