Volunteer Opportunity: Participate in Full-Scale Airport Emergency Exercise – May 31, 2025

To the Campus Community,

The Plattsburgh International Airport seeks volunteers to serve as actors
in a Full-Scale Emergency Exercise scheduled for *Saturday, May 31, 2025.*
This is a unique opportunity to assist local emergency response teams in a
critical training exercise.

As a participant, you may be assigned the role of a victim, witness, or
bystander/employee within the simulated emergency area. To enhance realism,
some volunteers may be moulaged with fake blood, makeup, or artificial
wounds to simulate injuries.

During the exercise, you can expect:

   - Loud noises
   - Simulated smoke
   - Realistic aromas associated with mass casualty incidents

The event will take place at the Airport Fire Station (37 Arkansas
Street). *Transportation
to and from the exercise will not be available.*

Timeline:

   - 6:30 AM – Arrival & Check-In / Moulage application (as needed)
   - 8:00 AM – Exercise Begins
   - 12:00 PM – Exercise Ends
   - 12:00 PM – Lunch Provided

This exercise plays an essential role in ensuring emergency preparedness
