Summer and Fall 2025 Registration: Important Dates and Information

Dear SUNY Plattsburgh Students,

As you prepare for Summer and Fall 2025 registration, please be aware of
these important dates and other information about this process.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION


Registration Holds

Registration Holds will prevent you from registering for
courses. Registration holds must be cleared before you can register for
Summer and Fall 2025 courses. If applicable, you can view
your registration holds as follows:

   -

   Log into MyPlattsburgh <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/portal/>
   -

   Click on the Student tab
   -

   Click on the My Holds link under the Registrar header
   -

   If you have one or more holds, please refer to How to
   Clear Registration Holds
   <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/offices-divisions/registrar/index.html>
and
   contact the appropriate office for additional assistance.

   PINs are required for currently enrolled undergraduate students,
   readmitted undergraduate students and incoming transfer students. During
   the advisement and priority registration periods, you will need to request
   your PIN from your advisor.
   -

   As of April 21, 2025, students who did not obtain a PIN from their
   advisor during the advising period can begin requesting their PIN from
   the Academic Advising Office (advise at plattsburgh.edu , 518.564.2080).

Registration for Summer Session A: Apr. 7 (10 a.m.) - May 28, 2025 (11:30
p.m.): Matriculated students

Registration for Summer Session B: Apr. 7 (10 a.m.) - June 15, 2025 (11:30
p.m.): Matriculated students

Registration for Summer Session C: Apr. 7 (10 a.m.) - July 20, 2025 (11:30
p.m.): Matriculated students


Registration for Summer Session A: Apr. 14 (10 a.m.) - May 28, 2025 (11:30
p.m.): Non-matriculated students

Registration for Summer Session B: Apr. 14 (10 a.m.) - June 15, 2025 (11:30
p.m.): Non-matriculated students

Registration for Summer Session C: Apr. 14 (10 a.m.) - July 20, 2025 (11:30
p.m.): Non-matriculated students


May 21, 2025 (8 a.m.) – All summer waitlists cleared.


Fall 2025 Course registration

Apr. 4 (8 a.m.) - Aug. 31, 2025 (11:30 p.m.): Graduate students.

Apr. 7 (8 a.m.) - Aug. 31, 2025 (11:30 p.m.): Students in online programs,
students studying abroad during Spring 2025, all SUNY Plattsburgh at
Queensbury students, Fall 2025 readmits, and athletes in season in Fall 2025
.

Apr. 14 (8 a.m.) - Apr. 27, 2025 (11:30 p.m.): Priority registration for
matriculated main campus students.

Apr. 14 (1 p.m.) - Aug. 31, 2025 (11:30 p.m.): New transfer students.
Apr. 21 - Students who have not obtained a PIN from their advisor during
the advising period should contact the Academic Advising Office.

Apr. 28 (10 a.m.) - Aug. 31, 2025 (11:30 p.m.): Course adjustment phase; PINs
not required except for Fall 2025 readmits and incoming transfer students
who require a PIN until 7/21/2025 to register for fall classes.

Apr. 28: Late Registration fee of $40 applied.

Aug. 4 (10 a.m.) - Aug. 31, 2025 (11:30 p.m.): Non-Matriculated students.


Additional Fall 2025 Dates and Deadlines

Aug. 20, 2025 (8 a.m.): Waitlists cleared.

Aug. 25, 2025 (8 a.m.): Classes begin.

Aug. 29, 2025 (4 p.m.): Credit Hour Overload Approval Deadline.

Aug. 29, 2025 (4 p.m.): Deadline for Independent Study, Research practicum,
Internship Registrations.

Aug. 31, 2025: Add/Drop Ends 11:30 p.m.

Sep. 1, 2025: Course Withdrawal phase begins (full-semester courses);
requires Course Adjustment Form.

Sep. 8, 2025: Course Withdrawal fee applied ($20/course).

Oct. 31, 2025: Last Day for Unrestricted Course Withdrawal (full-semester
courses).

Dec. 5, 2025: Classes end.
Dec. 6 - Dec. 11, 2025: Final Exams.

Dec. 12, 2025: Semester ends.
Dec. 13, 2025. Commencement.
