*🗨️ Communicating & Respecting Boundaries Workshop*
- Friday, August 29 from 12:30-2:00 in Alumni Conference Room, Angell
College Center (Cardinal Link here <https://cglink.me/2us/r385440>)
- Boundaries, body and sex positivity, and healthy relationship
behaviors center on our understanding of consent as a life skill that
should be practiced long before it has anything to do with sex or intimacy.
This interactive workshop will share principles of affirmative consent in
various contexts. Participants will practice identifying if a fictional
scenario is a red flag, yellow flag, or green flag, and practice relating
fundamental consent communication skills to their daily interactions with
self and others.
*🛑 Bystander Intervention Workshop*
- Friday, September 5 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in Alumni Conference Room,
Angell College Center (Cardinal Link here <https://cglink.me/2us/r385486>
)
- Directly confronting someone can be intimidating and overwhelming. Did
you know there are other ways to interrupt a situation when something
doesn’t look right? Participants in this interactive workshop will learn
and discuss the 5 D’s of bystander intervention: Distract, Delegate,
Document, Delay, and Direct, and practice identifying options for
intervention through relatable fictional scenarios.
*📳 Stalking Awareness Workshop*
- Friday, September 12 from 12:30-2:00 in Alumni Conference Room, Angell
College Center (Cardinal Link here <https://cglink.me/2us/r385489>)
- Do you know how to recognize the signs of stalking and unhealthy
relationship behaviors, both in person and online? How does stalking
behavior in media and pop culture like song lyrics, movies, and shows,
influence our ability to name and stop stalking in real life? What
understanding do you have of digital abuse and stalking behaviors? The
Title IX Office offers multiple workshops inspired by the Stalking
Prevention, Awareness, & Resource Center (SPARC) that explore the concepts
of stalking behaviors as surveillance, life invasion, interference and/or
intimidation and encourages discussion to help us recognize these stalking
patterns and how to support friends who may be experiencing stalking.
