Interested in being a tutor at the Learning Center in the future? Want to
get certified with the College Reading and Learning Association for
tutoring--an accreditation that stands out on a resume and in your career
path? Feel like being the absolute best you can be?

Consider taking ENG390: Writing Tutoring Theory and Practice!

Some information:

   - ENG390 is a three-credit, in-person course. It focuses on writing
feedback strategies, composition theory, linguistic justice, the use of AI
in writing, and the power of collaboration. The major project in the course
is a self-designed internship proposal. You don't have to be an English
major or minor to take this class--all majors welcome, as long as you have
a love for writing. Taking ENG390 first is required for becoming a writing
   tutor at the Learning Center.
   - Must have passed ENG101 with B or higher to enroll, or
   receive permission of instructor
   - Students who identify as Black or African-American, East Asian,
   Southeast Asian, Afro-Caribbean, and/or Hispanic/Latinx strongly encouraged
   to enroll
   - Multilingual students encouraged to enroll in either course, but
   especially in ENG390
