Let’s bring awareness to the battles many never see ✊. Fuerza: The BIPOC
Student Union presents to you: Miles for Brains🚶♀️➡️🚶♂️➡️— a walk in
honor of Brain Tumor Awareness Month! 🧠🎗️
On Friday, May 3rd, at 3pm starting in front of the ACC in the Ametie
Plaza, we’ll be walking together on campus to give a voice to those
impacted by brain tumors. Every step we take is a step toward visibility,
compassion, and change.
This walk is inspired by Brian, a charismatic individual who has
craniopharyngioma—a rare and misunderstood brain tumor. Though noncancerous
and slow-growing, it can cause serious lifelong challenges, including
vision loss, hormone imbalances, and other complex health issues. With
limited research and understanding, many face their battles feeling unseen.
Known for making genuine connections with everyone who visited the Cardinal
Market 🛒❤️, where he once worked, Brian’s journey is a powerful reminder
of the strength it takes to face the invisible. Inspired by Brian’s
strength 💪 and entrusted with the honor of sharing his story—and by our
own experiences that hit close to home—we invite you to join us in this
meaningful movement 🤝.
Awareness starts with action. 🩶 Wear grey to show your support for Brain
Tumor Awareness Month and let’s walk with purpose—one mile at a time! 💭🎗️
