Disasters can strike without warning, and it’s crucial to have a plan to
stay connected with your loved ones. *What if your family isn’t together
when an emergency happens?* Take a few minutes today to set up a simple
emergency communication plan. Here's how you can start:

   - *Stay Informed:* Make sure you're signed up for emergency alerts and
   warnings from local officials.
   - *Create a Contact List:* Keep a paper copy of essential contact info
   for your family, including:
      - Work, cell, and office phone numbers
      - Email addresses
      - Social media profiles
      - Contact details for medical facilities, doctors, and service
      providers
      - School contacts
   - *Choose Safe Locations:* Decide on familiar places where your family
   can seek shelter or reunite. Make sure these spots are accessible to anyone
   with disabilities or special needs.
   - *Include Your Pets: *If you have pets or service animals, think about
   where they can go in an emergency.
   - *Share & Practice: *Once your plan is ready, share it with everyone in
   your household and practice it regularly.
