Call for Entries: First-Generation College Student Essay Contest

Are you a first-generation college student with a story to share?
Enter our *First-Generation
College Student Essay Contest* for a chance to win Cardinal Cash and
inspire others with your journey!

*Eligibility:*
Open to all first-gen students (those whose parents do not hold a four-year
college degree).

*Theme: **Turning Challenges into Opportunities*
Focus on how the difficulties you’ve faced as a first-generation college
student have become opportunities for growth, leadership, and innovation.
How have challenges in your academic, personal, or family life transformed
into strengths or learning experiences that have enriched your college
experience?

*Essay Guidelines:*

   - 500-800 words
   - Typed, double-spaced, 12-point font

*How to Enter:*

   1. Write your essay based on the theme and guidelines.
   2. Fill out the Submission Form <https://forms.gle/nuZfWNqcUfJ1XbJg9>.
   3. Upload your essay as a PDF or Word document.

*Prizes:*

   - 1st Place: $150 Cardinal Cash
   - 2nd Place: $100 Cardinal Cash
   - 3rd Place: $50 Cardinal Cash
   - All entrants receive a Certificate of Participation.

*Deadline:*
*Friday, November 1st, 2024* @ 11:59 PM

*Winners Announced:*
Winners will be announced on *Friday, November 8th at 1:00 PM* during our
First-Gen Student Pods event in the Alumni Conference Room.
