Ringing Down the Curtain S24

Plattsburgh, NY – The SUNY Plattsburgh Departments of Theatre and Music
presents the fall Ringing Down the Curtain at Hartman Theatre, on
Wednesday, May 8 at 7pm, and Thursday, May 9 at 7pm.

The Spring 2024 Ringing Down the Curtain takes place on Wednesday, May 8 at
7:00pm, and Thursday, May 9, at 7:00pm in the Hartman Theatre, within the
John Myers Building. This event is free and open to the public.

A long standing tradition of performance on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus,
Ringing Down the Curtain is a two-night showcase of student performers in
acting, dance, and guitar.

Wednesday night includes a duo of performances from Julia Devine’s Acting
for Everyone classes and Beth Glover’s students. Then, Michael Fratino and
the Guitar Ensemble will perform a variety of songs including music from
Daft Punk, Taylor Swift, Hozier, and more.

Thursday night includes Laura-Jean Schwartau’s Acting for Everyone classes
and Kathy Koester’s Dance for Everybody and Dance the Creative Process
classes as they perform a spectacular piece based around the eclipse.

THE 106: Acting for Everyone and THE 217: Dance for Everybody are Cardinal
Core Individual Expression courses - the student performers are from majors
all across our campus.

All are welcome to attend and support friends, classmates, and students -
take photos, cheer loudly, and celebrate their hard work, courage, and
talent.
