We would like to announce that we have updated the University's lactation
policy and a link to it is here
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/offices-divisions/administration-finance/policies-procedures/campus-handbook/section-iv-employment-benefits/lactation-accommodation-policy.html>.
Thanks to all of the university stakeholders who offered suggestions to
make this policy stronger. We are also excited to announce that through a
grant made possible by the Clinton County Health Department in
collaboration with Nursing, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion,
Human Resource Services, Dean of Students and several other departments, we
have launched our very first three lactation spaces on campus. Lactation
spaces are available in Redcay - Room 155D, Angell College Center - Meeting
Room #7, and Sibley Hall - Room 101.

Our committee will continue to work with external and internal offices and
departments, and we hope to share news in the future about incorporating
lactation pods on campus as well as the pods that will be incorporated into
Disability Services. All resources are available to students, employees,
and community members visiting campus. Note that the spaces are open when
the buildings are open.
