As you choose your courses for Fall 2024, think about joining the staff of
Cardinal Point, the independent and award-winning student-run news
organization.

We are seeking reporters, writers, photographers, copy editors,
proofreaders, editorial cartoonists, page designers, graphic designers,
multimedia creators, videographers, website staff and public relations
specialists.

Academic credit is available for most staff positions, with a non-credit
option also available. Cardinal Points is open to all majors. We meet 7
p.m. Mondays in Ward Hall.

Published Fridays with some breaking news throughout the week, the online
newspaper is the No. 1 source of news and information for students, faculty
and area residents about what’s happening on this campus. The newspaper
publishes hard-hitting investigations, breaking news stories and strong
photos.

Our upbeat and edgy Arts & Culture section gives readers the best in art
and entertainment news and reviews and delves into stories that are not
covered anywhere else. And the sports section covers all college athletics,
giving the campus, community, and alumni the best coverage of our teams.

Working on a college newspaper, in any capacity, is an opportunity to gain
experience, build clips or a portfolio and add to your resume. Not to
mention, it is also a great way to make connections and learn more about
the college and surrounding community.
