Summer and Fall 2024 Registration: Important Dates and Information

Dear SUNY Plattsburgh Students,

As you prepare for Summer and Fall 2024 registration, please be aware of
these important dates and other information about this process.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION


Registration Holds

Registration Holds will prevent you from registering for courses.
Registration holds must be cleared before you can register for Summer and
Fall 2024 courses. If applicable, you can view your registration holds as
follows:

   -

   Log into MyPlattsburgh <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/portal/>
   -

   Click on the Student tab
   -

   Click on the My Holds link under the Registrar header
   -

   If you have one or more holds, please refer to How to Clear Registration
   Holds
   <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/offices-divisions/registrar/index.html>
   and contact the appropriate office for additional assistance.

   PINs are required for currently enrolled undergraduate students,
   readmitted undergraduate students and incoming transfer students. During
   the advisement and priority registration periods, you will need to request
   your PIN from your advisor.
   -

   Students who have not obtained a PIN from their advisor by April 22
   should contact the Academic Advising Office (advise at plattsburgh.edu ,
   518.564.2080)

Summer 2024 Course Registration

Registration for Summer Session A: Apr. 8, 2024 (10 a.m.) - May 29, 2024
(11:30 p.m.): Matriculated students

Registration for Summer Session B: Apr. 8, 2024 (10 a.m.) - June 16, 2024
(11:30 p.m.): Matriculated students

Registration for Summer Session C: Apr. 8, 2024 (10 a.m.) - July 21, 2024
(11:30 p.m.): Matriculated students


Registration for Summer Session A: Apr. 15, 2024 (10 a.m.) - May 29, 2024
(11:30 p.m.): Non-matriculated students

Registration for Summer Session B: Apr. 15, 2024 (10 a.m.) - June 16, 2024
(11:30 p.m.): Non-matriculated students

Registration for Summer Session C: Apr. 15, 2024 (10 a.m.) - July 21, 2024
(11:30 p.m.): Non-matriculated students


May 22, 2024 (8 a.m.) – All summer waitlists cleared.


Fall 2024 Course registration

Apr. 5, 2024 (8 a.m.) - Sep. 1, 2024 (11:30 p.m.): Graduate students.

Apr. 8, 2024 (8 a.m.) - Sep. 1, 2024 (11:30 p.m.): Students in online
programs, students studying abroad during Spring 2024, all SUNY Plattsburgh
at Queensbury students, Fall 2024 readmits, and athletes in season in Fall
2024.

Apr. 15, 2024 (8 a.m.) - Apr. 28, 2024 (11:30 p.m.): Priority registration
for matriculated main campus students.

Apr. 22, 2024 - Students who have not obtained a PIN from their advisor
should contact the Academic Advising Office.

Apr. 29, 2024 (10 a.m.) - Sep. 1, 2024 (11:30 p.m.): Course adjustment,
PINs not required.

Apr. 29, 2024: Late Registration fee of $40 applied.

May 6, 2024 (10 a.m.) - Sept. 1, 2024 (11:30 p.m.): New transfer students.

Aug. 5, 2024 (10 a.m.) - Sep. 1, 2024 (11:30 p.m.): Non-Matriculated
students.


Additional Fall 2024 Dates and Deadlines

Aug. 21, 2024 (8 a.m.): Waitlists cleared.

Aug. 26, 2024 (8 a.m.): Classes begin.

Aug. 30, 2024 (4 p.m.): Credit Hour Overload Approval Deadline.

Aug. 30, 2024 (4 p.m.): Deadline for Independent Study, Research practicum,
Internship Registrations.

Sep. 1, 2024: Add/Drop Ends 11:30 p.m.

Sep. 2, 2024: Course Withdrawal begins (full-semester courses).

Sep. 9, 2024: Course Withdrawal fee applied ($20/course).

Nov. 1, 2024: Last Day for Unrestricted Course Withdrawal (full-semester
courses).

Dec. 6, 2024: Classes end.
Dec. 7, 2024 - Dec. 12, 2024: Final Exams.

Dec. 13, 2024: Semester ends.
Dec. 14, 2024. Commencement.
