Dear SUNY Plattsburgh Student,

As you prepare for Winter and Spring 2024 registration, please be aware of
these important dates and other information about this process.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION


Registration Holds

Registration Holds will prevent you from registering for courses.
Registration holds must be cleared before you can register for Winter and
Spring 2024 courses. If applicable, you can view your registration holds as
follows:

   -

   Log into MyPlattsburgh <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/portal/>
   -

   Click on the Student tab
   -

   Click on the My Holds link under the Registrar header
   -

   If you have one or more holds, please refer to How to Clear Registration
   Holds
   <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/offices-divisions/registrar/index.html>
   and contact the appropriate office for additional assistance.

   PINs are required for currently enrolled undergraduate students,
   readmitted undergraduate students and incoming transfer students. During
   the advisement and priority registration periods, you will need to request
   your PIN from your advisor.
   -

   Students who have not obtained a PIN from their advisor by November 13th
   should contact the Academic Advising Office (advise at plattsburgh.edu ,
   518.564.2080)

REGISTRATION DATES

Winter 2024 Course Registration

Oct. 30, 2023 – Dec. 31, 2023 (5-week courses): Matriculated students.

Oct. 30, 2023 - Jan. 9, 2024 (3-week courses): Matriculated students.

Nov. 6, 2023 – Dec. 31, 2023 (5-week courses): Non-Matriculated students.

Nov. 6, 2023 – Jan. 9, 2024 (3-week courses): Non-Matriculated students.

Dec. 20, 2023 – All winter waitlists cleared.


Spring 2024 Course registration

Oct. 27, 2023 - Feb. 4, 2024: Graduate students.

Oct. 30, 2023 - Feb. 4, 2024: Students in online programs, on study abroad
for Fall 2023, SUNY Plattsburgh at Queensbury students and Spring 2024
readmits.

Nov. 6, 2023 - Feb. 4, 2024: Priority registration for matriculated main
campus students.

Nov. 13, 2023 - Students who have not obtained a PIN from their advisor
should contact the Academic Advising Office.

Nov. 20, 2023 - Feb. 4, 2024: Course adjustment, PINs not required.

Nov. 20, 2023: Late Registration fee of $40 applied.

Nov. 27, 2023 - Feb. 4, 2024: New transfer students.

Jan. 8, 2024 - Feb. 4, 2024: Non-Matriculated students.


Additional Spring 2024 Dates and Deadlines

Jan. 24, 2024: Waitlists cleared (8 a.m.).

Jan. 29, 2024: Classes begin.

Feb. 2, 2024: Credit Hour Overload Approval Deadline.

Feb. 2, 2024: Deadline for Independent Study, Research practicum,
Internship Registrations.

Feb. 4, 2024: Add/Drop Ends 11:30 p.m.

Feb. 5, 2024: Course Withdrawal begins (full-semester courses).

Feb. 12, 2024: Course Withdrawal fee applied ($20/course).

Apr. 12, 2024: Last Day for Unrestricted Course Withdrawal (full-semester
courses).

May 10, 2024: Classes end.
May 11, 2024 - May 17, 2024: Final Exams.

May 17, 2024: Semester ends.
May 18, 2024. Commencement.
