Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to raise both money and
awareness in the fight to end hunger. Associate Professor Ali Della Bitta
of Ceramics and her advanced students have gotten their hands dirty
making bowls for this special event. Each guest will receive a
handmade bowl with their dinner to bring home as a reminder of the fight
against hunger. Chartwells, the food service operator on campus, will
provide the dinner, which includes soup, bread, beverage and dessert. The
cost is $10 for students and children and $15 for adults. All proceeds
from the event will be donated to Plattsburgh's Interfaith Food Shelf.

The event will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2023, 5:00-7:00 p.m.,
in SUNY Plattsburgh's Myers Lobby Gallery.
