Update - ACC Dining Facility Renovations

Good Morning Campus Community,

Thank you to all who were able to join us for the CAS & Chartwells Party
last week. And thank you to those who filled out our feedback form. There
was a great turnout in Burghy's and we enjoyed seeing everyone!

For those who weren't able to attend, we would like to provide a brief
overview of what we shared:

   1. Chartwells and CAS have renewed our contract with a generous
   multi-million dollar investment from Chartwells to assist us with upgrading
   dining facilities in the ACC.
   2. CAS, Chartwells & SUNY Plattsburgh are working together with an
   architectural firm to bring to fruition our joint vision. The vision
   includes:
      1. Moving Halal Shack into its own space in the old Subway/Griddles
      location within Burghy's. We tentatively expect this move to be completed
      by Fall 2024.
      2. Beginning next semester, Campus Express will be managed by
      Chartwells, as Follett transitions out of convenience stores to focus on
      our bookstore. Chartwells' expertise will bring new convenient
and personal
      care products to students to our existing stock.
      3. Renovations in the store will begin next summer and will result in
      a We Proudly Serve Starbucks and renovated convenience store. We expect
      this will open for Fall 2024.
      4. The Sundowner will also be renovated with a new look and feel.
      Since this is a bigger space, we expect this will open by Spring of 2025.
   3. We do not expect construction to begin until next spring, but we
   wanted to share this exciting information with you now!
