"An African Adventure" a Senior Capstone Presentation in Adventure Sports & Expeditionary Studies

Have you ever been curious about what Adventure Sports and Expeditionary
Studies is about?

Come check out two Senior presentations about expeditions done in Africa.

*What: *The expeditions included trekking the Drakensberg, summiting
Kilimanjaro, two weeks of alpine climbing on Mount Kenya, dealing with
animals, snow storms, and more.

*When:* Thursday, March 30th Starting at 5:30 PM

*Where:* Hudson Hall, room 106

The Capstone project of an EXP degree requires each student to plan and
complete their own Expedition. For the expedition to be approved, extensive
research and planning are required. The expedition itself allows them to
"demonstrate outdoor leadership as the complex, unifying, and dynamic body
of theory and praxis that it is." As well as their ability to "operate in
adventure settings at an advanced level."
