Vehicle Registration Reminder

This reminder is intended for students that did *not* register for parking
for 2023-24. *Now* is the time to take the necessary steps to register!

Unsure? A tag # is displayed in MyPlattsburgh (STUDENTS tab to AUTOMOBILE
REGISTRATION link) when a vehicle is properly registered. If you see no tag
# visible 24 hours after registering, retrace your steps to find the error.
Common reasons a tag does not process correctly includes:

   - failure to confirm enrollment with two fees (PR *and* PK) included in
   tuition (MyPlattsburgh to STUDENTS tab to MY ACCOUNT link)
   - failure to confirm a prior year vehicle registration, or add a new
   vehicle (using the state registration details.)

For specific guidelines on vehicle registration, claiming your tag, and

*Students that do not have a car *have an obligation to remove two parking
fees (PR and PK) from tuition *before* confirming enrollment, or forfeit the
fees after week one of classes. Check tuition details in MyPlattsburgh
<http://my.plattsburgh.edu/> (STUDENTS tab to MY ACCOUNT link.)

*Important Parking Dates & Deadlines*
Aug 1:           Pre-register vehicle *before* arriving, and review parking
compliance guidelines.
Aug 25--29:   Hang tags disbursed from Angell College Center, 9a-Noon (
*except* Sunday)
Aug 28:         Display valid tag and park in designated student lots*
Aug 30:         Hang tag disbursement returns to UPD
Sep 1:           Deadline to request a credit and/or return tag, or forfeit
parking fees.

*If you arrive early, and your pre-registered, legally parked vehicle is
cited for 'no permit visible' in August, email the ticket # to
parking at plattsburgh.edu for expunging. (Photo not required.)
