Registration Holds
Registration Holds prevent you from registering for courses. Registration
holds must be cleared before you can register for Summer and Fall 2023
courses. If applicable you can view your registration holds as follows:

Log into MyPlattsburgh <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/portal/>

Click on the Student tab

Click on the My Holds link under the Registrar header

readmitted undergraduate students and incoming transfer students.

Students who have not obtained a PIN from their advisor by April 24th
should contact the Academic Advising Office (advise at plattsburgh.edu ,

Summer 2023 Course Registration
Apr. 10, 2023 – May 31, 2023 (Session A): Matriculated students.
Apr. 10, 2023 – June 18, 2023 (Session B): Matriculated students.
Apr. 10, 2023 – July 23, 2023 (Session C): Matriculated students.
Apr. 17, 2023 – May 31, 2023 (Session A): Non-Matriculated students.
Apr. 17, 2023 – June 18, 2023 (Session B): Non-Matriculated students.
Apr. 17, 2023 – July 23, 2023 (Session C): Non-Matriculated students.
May 24, 2023 – All summer waitlists cleared.
Fall 2023 Course registration
Apr. 7, 2023 - Sep. 3, 2023: Graduate students.
Apr. 10, 2023 - Sep. 3, 2023: Priority registration.
Apr. 24, 2023 - Students who have not obtained a PIN from their advisor
should contact the Academic Advising Office.
May 1, 2023 - Sep. 3, 2023: Course adjustment, PINs not required.
May 1, 2023: Late Registration fee of $40 applied.
May 8, 2023 - Sep. 3, 2023: Transfer students.
Aug. 7, 2023 - Sep. 3, 2023: Non-Matriculated students.
Additional Fall 2023 Dates and Deadlines
Aug. 23, 2023: Wait Lists Cleared (8 a.m.).
Aug. 28, 2023: Classes Begin.
Sep. 1, 2023: Credit Hour Overload Approval Deadline.
Sep. 1, 2023: Deadline for Independent Study, Research practicum,
Internship Registrations.
Sep. 3, 2023: Add/Drop Ends 11:30 p.m.
Sep. 4, 2023: Course Withdrawal begins (full-semester courses).
Sep. 11, 2023: Course Withdrawal fee applied ($20/course).
Nov. 3, 2023: Last Day for Unrestricted Course Withdrawal (full-semester
courses).
Dec. 8, 2023: Classes end.
Dec. 9, 2023 - Dec. 15, 2023: Final Exams.
Dec. 15, 2023: Fall Semester ends.
