Recreation Hosting Squid Game Intramural Competition

*Recreation Office to Host Squid Game Intramural*

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Oct. 25 2022) -- The SUNY Plattsburgh Recreation Office
will host a
two-hour Squid Game-themed intramural. This event will take place in the
Memorial Hall
Recreation Gym from 8 to 10 p.m on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
Five teams will compete in Red light, Green light; Tug-of-War; and
Dodgeball. The winners will
receive championship shirts and will be highlighted on the department’s
social media feeds.
These opportunities are paid for by the recreation fee. Students can use
intramural sports to
become a better version of themselves. Research shows, that students who
participate in
recreational activities, do better in class, have a higher quality mental
and physical health, and
build more social connections.
“This is an opportunity to become the best version of yourself by having
fun,” said Kennedy
Tavarez.
The Recreation Office on campus hosts a wide variety of intramural and club
sports, such as
basketball, soccer, volleyball, Club Fishing, Marksmanship and Esports. To
