Dear SUNY Plattsburgh Student,

As you prepare for Winter and Spring registration, here are some important
dates and other information to be aware of.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Registration Holds

Registration Holds prevent you from registering for courses. Registration
holds must be cleared before you can register for Winter and Spring 2023
courses. If applicable you can view your registration holds as follows:

   -

   Log into MyPlattsburgh <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/portal/>
   -

   Click on the Student tab
   -

   Click on the My Holds link under the Registrar header
   -

   If you have one or more holds, please refer to How to Clear Registration
   Holds

   and contact the appropriate office for additional assistance.

   PINs are required for currently enrolled undergraduate students and
   incoming transfer students.
   -

   Students who have not obtained a PIN from their advisor by November 14
   should contact the Academic Advising Office (advise at plattsburgh.edu ,
   518.564.2080)

Winter 2023 Course Registration

Oct. 31, 2022 – Jan. 1, 2023 (5 Week): Matriculated students.

Oct. 31, 2022 – Jan. 10, 2023 (3 Week): Matriculated students.

Nov. 7, 2022 – Jan. 1, 2023 (5 Week):  Non-Matriculated students.

Nov. 7, 2022 – Jan. 10, 2023 (3 Week): Non-Matriculated students.



Additional Winter 2023 Dates and Deadlines

Dec. 21, 2022: Wait Lists Cleared (8 a.m.).

Dec. 27, 2022 (5 Week): Classes begin.

Jan. 1, 2023 (5 Week): Add/Drop ends 11:30 p.m.

Jan. 2, 2023 (5 Week): Course Withdrawal begins.

Jan. 4, 2023 (5 Week): Course Withdrawal fee applied ($20/course).

Jan. 9, 2022 (3 Week): Classes begin.

Jan. 10, 2023 (3 Week): Add/Drop ends 11:30 p.m.

Jan. 11, 2023 (3 Week): Course Withdrawal begins.

Jan. 11, 2023 (5 Week): Last Day for Unrestricted Course Withdrawal.

Jan. 18, 2023 (3 Week): Course Withdrawal fee applied ($20/course).

Jan. 18, 2023 (3 Week): Last Day for Unrestricted Course Withdrawal.

Jan. 27, 2023: Winter Session ends.

Spring 2023 Course registration

Oct. 28, 2022 - Feb. 5, 2023: Graduate students.

Oct. 31, 2022 - Feb. 5, 2023: Priority registration.

Nov. 14, 2022 - Students who have not obtained a PIN from their advisor
should contact the Academic Advising Office.

Nov. 21, 2022 - Feb. 5, 2023: Course adjustment, PINs not required.

Nov. 21, 2022: Late Registration fee of $40 applied.

Nov. 28, 2022 - Feb. 5, 2023: Transfer students.

Jan. 9, 2023 - Feb. 5, 2023: Non-Matriculated students.

Additional Spring 2023 Dates and Deadlines

Jan. 25, 2023: Wait Lists Cleared (8 a.m.).

Jan. 30, 2023: Classes Begin.

Feb. 3, 2023: Credit Hour Overload Approval Deadline.

Feb. 3, 2023: Deadline for Independent Study, Research practicum,
Internship Registrations.

Feb. 5, 2023: Add/Drop Ends 11:30 p.m.

Feb. 6, 2023: Course Withdrawal begins (full-semester courses).

Feb. 13, 2023: Course Withdrawal fee applied ($20/course).

Apr. 14, 2023: Last Day for Unrestricted Course Withdrawal (full-semester
courses).

May 12, 2023: Classes end.

May 19, 2023: Spring Semester ends.
