Thanks to all the students, faculty and staff who attended my Social
Justice Teach-In presentation "Cultivating Empathy Through Fiction." I was
inspired by how many folks turned up, and how many responded so favorably
to the topic.

I displayed a QR code at the end of the presentation and invited attendees
to follow the link to a Google form that I built to collect other people's
suggestions of books, songs, poems, movies and plays that they feel have
the capability to cultivate empathy amongst their audiences. The QR code
wasn't on the screen very long before we had to vacate Sibly 545 for the
next presentation. For those who didn't have a chance to scan it (or for
anyone else who would like to contribute to the list), please follow this
link. <https://forms.gle/cFXmjzHsjxABMQJ66>

I'm collecting email addresses on the form, so I can share the list with
anyone who contributes. As of 8AM Tuesday 11/8, I have 20 submissions. I'm
hoping to have many more to share. I'll be sending the list to contributors
on Monday, November 14th.

Again, my thanks to all who attended, and to the planning committee and all
those responsible for making the 2022 Black Solidarity Day and Social
Justice Teach-In a resounding success!
