Supply Chain Management Turbo Course

SUNY Plattsburgh at Queensbury and SUNY Adirondack will jointly offer an
intensive, short turbo course on supply chain management this summer. This
non-credit bearing training will allow students to build their skills and
knowledge in critical areas, including:


   1. Understanding supply chain fundamentals: Defining supply chain
   management and its role in the overall company structure
   2. Supply Chain Design: Developing a supply chain strategy, demand
   planning and forecasting and supplier selection
   3. Managing, analyzing and improving the supply chain: Supplier
   relationship management, supplier development and evaluation, strategic
   sourcing and sustainability and lean for continuous improvement
   4. Logistics: Transportation, warehousing and inventory management
   5. Information systems: Overview of supply chain systems (i.e. material
   resources planning, enterprise resource planning, internet-based systems)
   6. Industry standard tools, techniques, and best practices and
   introduction to APICS CSCP
