Dear Cardinals,
There's no denying the window to avoid catastrophic warming is closing, and
these next few years may be our last chance for adaptation and mitigation.
Despite decades of growing evidence on anthropogenic climate change, It
seems the data and warnings have not gone far enough to sway public
opinion. Perhaps we need to rethink how we converse with others about
climate change?
SUNY Plattsburgh at Queensbury and SUNY Adirondack Community College are
co-hosting an important conference featuring Katharine Hayhoe and Bill
McKibben on October 21st. Our focus questions for Bill and Katharine:
1. How do we realize successful climate solutions in today’s polarized
world?
2. What are the most promising ways to galvanize rapid, effective climate
action today?
3. How can we bridge differences with the uncertain person and what are the
tools to do so?
Please consider attending and please, please share this information with
your friends and families. https://northcountryclimate.org/conferences/
