ENDING SUNDAY -- The Great Game :: Campus Community

Dear Cardinals,

Welcome back! As part of Opening Week activities, from September 3rd to
September 5th, we will be hosting an escape room/scavenger hunt
competition. Your team will need to go around to different spots on campus
solving puzzles at each one. Every team that completes the game will be
entered into a raffle to win prizes.

Logistics:

   - The competition kicks off at 6:00 pm on September 3rd and ends at
   11:59pm on September 5th. You can play anytime during that period.
   - You may use ONE hint penalty free if you want to be in the running for
   the prize for first place - if you don't want to race, you can use as many
   hints as you would like :)

What to Expect:

   - Solve interesting puzzles around campus. The game should take between
   1 to 2 hours and involve walking around two miles
   - Wear athletic shoes
   - Bring pen and paper to help solve the puzzles
   - Bring water

How to Play:

   - Your team size can be anywhere from 3 to 6 players - but you’ll need
   at least three team members to have *iPhones*.
   - Have each player with am iPhone on your team download the app here

   “TheGreatGame” on the app store, no spaces)
   - Have one player click register for a game, select SUNY Plattsburgh,
   and then create a team name and password – everyone else on their team will
   join using the team name and password
   - Meet your team outside *Yokum** Hall* to start the game
   - Once at a starting point, each player presses start in the app. And
   away you go.
   - Post throughout to instagram with #PlattsLife and #PlattsGreatGame

FAQS:

What if my team gets completely stuck?

   - If you keep using hints, the app moves you past the puzzle, so you
   will never be truly stuck :)

What if I need to add or remove someone from the team?

   - If a team member leaves midway through the game, you will need to
   remove them to continue
   - Go to the account tab and swipe left on the player you want to remove
