SPEAK OUT 2021 - 11/8 @ 2:30-4:30 p.m. in Memorial Gym

Good morning campus community,

Black Onyx: The Black Student Union cordially invites our campus community
to Speak Out 2021 on Monday, November 8, from 2:30-4:30pm in the Memorial
Gym. This event is part of The Speak Series, which was created as a
partnership between students and administrators to bring about model
communication, accountability and systemic change. It is opportunity for
students, administrators, staff, and faculty to discuss bias and
discrimination experienced by Students of Color, specifically Black
students, on campus. It is a safe place for students to share their
stories/experiences, ask questions, express concerns, and provide a call to
action to administration. Please come out, show your support, and speak
out! We must all be committed to working together, supporting each other,
listening to each other, and creating the safest possible SUNY Plattsburgh.
The more we talk and listen as a community, the more we can understand and
honor the experiences of those around us who are sometimes not seen. And
that is the first step toward creating a campus community that listens,
understands, and acts.
