Announcement: Online section of "Sociology of Race & Ethnicity" now
available for Spring 2022
This course examines the historical development and definitions of race,
racism, and ethnicity. The course outlines contemporary theories of race
and the reproduction of racial inequalities in the US and explores how race
appears in other national contexts. The course also examines processes of
immigrant incorporation as well as historical and contemporary anti-racist
social movements.
*SOC321WB1 (CRN 4459) *is a web course that meets requirements in the
General Education curriculum: CC-U.S. Identities (C1CU) and Global Issues
GE5 (5GLO)
The prerequisite for the course is sophomore standing or higher. If you
