During these final days of the fall session, please take a moment to review
the requirements for parking tags based on your specific circumstances:

*Current tag holders, and graduates, that do not need parking for the
spring session...*

are advised to relinquish fall parking tags at the end of this session to
UPD, 101 Broad St (Health Center), Plattsburgh, NY 12901. Parking tags are
not transferable; thus, tag sharing is prohibited. Registrants are liable
for all fines tied to their assigned tag.

*Current tag holders that need parking on campus for spring session...*

shall keep their assigned parking tag from the fall session, and update
vehicle registration in MyPlattsburgh (STUDENTS tab to AUTOMOBILE
REGISTRATION link.) The spring parking fee (PK) is automatically included
in tuition.

If an assigned tag is lost, file a MISSING TAG AFFIDAVIT
<https://machform.plattsburgh.edu/view.php?id=360888> ASAP to protect your
account.

*First-time registrants - new & transfer students - that need parking for
spring session...*

Complete the 3-step process to obtain a parking tag:
(1) Pre-register a vehicle in MyPlattsburgh (STUDENTS tab to AUTOMOBILE
REGISTRATION link) prior to arriving on campus.
(2) Confirm enrollment with two parking fees (PR & PK) included in tuition.
(3) When your tag is ready, you will receive an email to pick it up from
UPD.

*Students that will not have a car on campus for the spring session...*

Students, without vehicles, are still required to remove parking fees (PR &
PK) from tuition before confirming enrollment to avoid forfeiture of the
fees after 5 business days from the start of the spring session. The
parking fees are part of a list of optional fees automatically billed in
tuition that a student must accept or reject before confirming enrollment.

Unsure whether you removed these fees? Check your bill in MyPlattsburgh (MY
ACCOUNT to STUDENT ACCOUNTS.) Only if you confirm enrollment with the
unwanted parking fees included, send a cancellation request to
parking at plattsburgh.edu within 5 business days from the start of the spring
session.

*Students that invite visitors to campus...*

Advanced registration is the preferred method for visitors to register for
short-term parking up to 48 hours (72 hours on weekends). Visitors that use
this Vehicle Registration Form
<https://machform.plattsburgh.edu/view.php?id=311088> do not require a
visitor pass. Residents must ensure that their visitors park in on-campus
student lots
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/directions/parking/lot-designations-and-restrictions.html>
.

*Students moving into residence halls...*

When moving into residences, students are allowed to unload belongings from
building loading zones for a maximum term of 15 minutes. Avoid a ticket by
pre-registering vehicles of friends or family assisting with your
move. Visitors
that use this Vehicle Registration Form
<https://machform.plattsburgh.edu/view.php?id=311088> do not require a
visitor pass.
