it with the Title IX office.
The Title IX Office will be hosting this year's Take Back the Night
virtually in collaboration with the Student Counseling Center, STOP
Domestic Violence, and Sexual Assault Services. Take Back the Night is an
affinity space for anyone who would like to share their experience(s) of
sexual and/or interpersonal violence. Support people are welcome to attend
and stand in solidarity if not sharing. NOTE: Take Back the Night is a
protected event by the Office of Civil Rights and stories shared are not
considered notice to the school which would require investigation.
If you would like to share your story but would like it to be read by
someone else during this event, please complete our Anonymous Story Share
form here: https://bit.ly/2VOLBts
A reminder that you can view informational videos posted on our Title IX @
SUNY Plattsburgh YouTube Channel here:

video is a panel discussion on Men & Masculinity.
In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month the Campus Violence
Prevention & Response team has launched a campaign. The theme is "The Time
is Now. To Talk. To Act. To End Sexual Violence". We are asking that
individuals (all faculty, staff, students, alumni, community members) share
their responses to either why sexual assault awareness is important to them
OR how they make a difference in violence prevention. The answers will be
shared throughout social media and on campus. Here is the link to submit
your own response: https://forms.gle/ZnFSrrotLkPVikxUA. While it is
optional, would love it if you all could upload a photo as well as it may
inspire others to do so.
Also, in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, in collaboration with the
Art Museum, Feinberg Library, Sexual Assault Services, and STOP Domestic
Violence we are showcasing the *"What Were You Wearing" art installation*.
This is a first for SUNY Plattsburgh, and it will be in the Deep Quiet Room
of the library, the purpose of this art installation is to get participants
to understand clothes is not the problem, and that asking someone who has
experienced violence what they were wearing continues the cycle of violence
and fails to address the true problem; the act of violence. The art
installation will be up until April 30th.
