[Important Information for Students] STUDENT PARKING UPDATE FOR SPRING 2026

Students returning to campus with vehicles are reminded that all vehicles
must be registered with UPD, display a valid hang tag, and be parked in
designated lots according to the registrant's campus affiliation..

Vehicle pre-registration for SUNY Plattsburgh students is a 2-step process
that should be completed now so that your tag is ready to claim from UPD
upon arrival. (Note: CCC students shall follow the CCC parking registration
guidelines.)

   - *Pre-register a vehicle in MyPlattsburgh
<http://My.plattsburgh.edu>* (STUDENTS
   tab to PARKING icon)
      - First-time registrants enter vehicle details from a valid vehicle
      state registration.
      - Current tag holders, with tags from the Fall 2025 session, only
      need to update vehicle changes, and then continue to use the same tag for
      the spring session. (Note:  A lost tag requires submission of a Missing
      Tag Affidavit <https://machform.plattsburgh.edu/view.php?id=360888>.)


   - *Pay the applicable parking fees*:
      - First-time registrants pay two parking fees - $30 registration fee
      and $76 parking fee - in tuition.  Accept both charges when reviewing all
      optional fees listed on your bill.  Once charges are accepted, and you
      register a vehicle, claim your tag from UPD after 24 hours.
      - Current tag holders continue to use the same tag assigned in the
      fall for the spring session. A parking fee is included in your spring
      tuition. If you do not need your tag for spring, return it to UPD
      *before* the end of session week one in order to avoid forfeiture of
      the spring parking fee.

Claim your assigned tag from UPD, Health Center Building.  Verify tag
assignment in MyPlattsburgh <http://my.plattsburgh.edu/> to ensure that it
has been assigned.  If no tag number displays after 24 hours
from completing both steps, contact parking at plattsburgh.edu.
