Dear Campus Community,

All people in New York ages 16 and over can begin scheduling appointments
to receive one of three FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccines beginning next
Tuesday, April 6. We encourage all students to sign up for appointments
when available.

*Student Vaccine Survey*
We are pursuing ways we can advance vaccines to students. Part of this
process is to determine the number who may be interested in receiving the
vaccine on campus. If you have not already, please complete this short
survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5MGN3JN.

We will share more details as they become available.

*Other Info, Opportunities*
All SUNY Plattsburgh employees, including student employees, are eligible
to receive a COVID-19 vaccine now. New York also provides access to all
people age 30 and older, as well as those in certain health categories.
State (https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/) and Clinton County (
http://www.clintonhealth.org/covid19vaccine/) web pages provide details on
appointments.

Students living on campus and elsewhere in Clinton County who are 18 or
older can also sign up for the county health department's standby list. The
county will use this list when there are extra doses available. You can
call 518-565-4848 or email health at clintoncountygov.com with the following
information:

   - Subject line: COVID vaccination standby list
   - Name
   - Phone number
   - Email address
   - City, town or village of residence. Indicate your Clinton County
   address or residence hall address.

*COVID Update*
The college recorded nine positive COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Over the
past 14 days, 109 total cases have been recorded, with 59 cases active and
50 recovered.

Based on public health guidance, 75 students and employees are in
quarantine -- 27 on-campus and 48 off-campus. We respect the privacy of
those in isolation and quarantine and will support them. If you are aware,
please also respect their privacy.

Our caseload remains below the state threshold that would prompt a pause in
on-campus classes and operations. This spring semester, the guidance from
the state is to pause when a campus' testing positivity rate is at 5
percent over a rolling 14-day period. Our current rate is 1.31 percent.

*Pooled Testing, Safety*
Specific results from pooled testing are reported to students, faculty and
staff directly only if they are part of a positive pool. Reflex testing is
then used to determine who may actually be positive. Center staff then
notifies all contacted individuals of their reflex testing results when
received from SUNY Upstate Medical.

We encourage you to take steps daily to ensure the safety for you and all
around you. Wear a mask, practice social distancing, wash your hands, avoid
large social gatherings, and stay home when sick. More information is
online at plattsburgh.edu/COVID-19.
