[Important Information for Plattsburgh Campus Students] Testing Requirements for Students Returning to Campus

Dear Campus,

Due to the increase of COVID variants and case numbers, our ability to
quickly diagnose and subsequently isolate and quarantine are essential in
mitigating transmission. We are therefore requiring testing for all
students, regardless of vaccination status, upon return. This includes all
students who are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated, and fully vaccinated.

Testing will take place in the following manner:

   - All students returning to campus *prior *to the start of the spring
   semester, whether for work or to utilize campus services or housing, must
   participate in the earliest campus pool testing event after they arrive.

   updated pool testing dates, times and locations during winter break.
   - All students returning to campus for the start of the spring semester
   2022 must participate in scheduled pool testing the first week of classes.

   <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/covid-19/> page as we get closer to the
   start of the semester.


We continue to strongly recommend vaccinations and boosters as the most
effective prevention and mitigation tools.

We will continue to monitor the pandemic closely as the omicron variant
spreads during the flu season.
