I am writing to officially welcome you to Cardinal Country!  We are so
excited to work with each of you as you start your journey.  Your success
is important to me and all of us at SUNY Plattsburgh.   For those joining
us physically on campus, move-in and Opening Weekend are just around the
corner and I wanted to share some information with you that we hope makes
the process easier and allows you and your families to plan.  Those joining
us on-line, although you won’t physically be on our campus, please know
that your success is no less important to any of us.  Please use me or
others as a resource if we can ever be of assistance.



 *On Campus Move-in:*

You can find your room assignment and your student mailbox info on your Housing
Portal

More information about the move-in process, including directions and
coordinates to your Residence Hall, can be found on Opening Week

  To check-in, you’ll go directly to your assigned Residence Hall
beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, or Sunday, January 28,
whichever serves you better.



*New on-campus International Students; if you are living on campus, follow
the processes already communicated to you by the SUNY Plattsburgh Global
Education Office (GEO). Please note that you must check in with your
Community Living Team on the first floor of your residence hall at some
point during Opening Weekend (Saturday, January 27 & Sunday, January 28).  *

I wanted to highlight 3 things for you.

· *Advisement & Registration* - For those students who still need to
Register for classes or make adjustments, there will be an Academic
Advisement & Registration session at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26,
2024.

· *New Student Welcome Activities – *Please come meet me and some
colleagues from our Academic Advisement Office, Saturday, January 27 from
4-8pm in Clinton Dining Hall.  We will be right next to the Card Swipe
station.  We’ll be there to answer any questions you have, provide you with
some resources to make sure you get off to a positive start, and we'll have
some giveaways, including t-shirts, to get you equipped to be a Cardinal.
If you don’t have a dining plan or not living on campus, no problem!  You
can still come see us.  We want to meet you all.

· *On campus Activities –* The Community Living team has planned these 2
events for those living on campus.  All on-campus students are welcome to
attend:

   - * Trivia Contest –* 1/27, 7p.m. Wilson Hall Main Lounge
      - *BINGO –* 1/27, 8 p.m. Whiteface Hall Main Lounge

*Information for Commuting Students:*

Although you won’t be living on-campus, we want you to know that you are
such an important part of our community and you are absolutely welcome to
come meet us and take advantage of our New Student Welcome described
above.  You do not need a meal plan to come see us in Clinton Dining Hall.

*On-Line Students:*

Although we won’t physically be together, you are still Cardinals!  Please
reach out to me personally if I can be of assistance.  We are here to
