Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Policy

SUNY Plattsburgh maintains a drug-free workplace policy in accordance with
federal requirements, including the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act
and the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act.  The policy prohibits the unlawful
possession, use, and distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol by
employees, including student employees.


The misuse of alcohol and drugs can negatively affect workplace safety,
productivity, attendance, and employee health.  As a public employer, SUNY
Plattsburgh is committed to protecting the safety and well-being of its
students, employees, and the public.  The Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace
