Revision to FOIL Policy (9005.2)

SUNY Plattsburgh policy owner Administration and Finance revised the FOIL
Policy to outline how and to whom requests for records reflective of
governmental decisions and policies can be made. The Freedom of Information
Law (Public Officers Law §§ Article 6 Sections 84–90) requires that the
State University of New York (University) make certain records available to
the public. The law requires each campus and the system administration of
the University to designate records access officers. This revision includes
a new procedure for release of Employee (Current or Former) Disciplinary
Records per a change in the FOIL law. The complete policy can be found
